In March 2025, we supported the renovation of the primary school in the rural village of Gbovié, which was in a state of advanced disrepair.
The condition of the roof, which had numerous leaks, made it impossible to hold classes when it rained, so urgent action was needed.
Masonry, painting and roofing were fully funded by our support, and within a few weeks the work was completed, much to the delight of the school’s 100 pupils.
The school has been completely repainted and the masonry restored.
An official delegation came to inaugurate the school during an official ceremony.
Children now have classes regardless of the weather.
